A while back, Kat Von D beauty posted some sneak-peaks of the Serpentina palette, and I knew I had to have it. I am a Egyptophile and almost didn't care what was inside. Once swatches of the inside were revealed, it seemed that the world wanted this too, and after the strange launch it seemed that a lot of people couldn't get their hands on it. Read on to see if it's worth your hard earned cash when it comes to stores later this month!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>PIGMENTATION:</b> Nile, Scarab, and Prophet are tied for best pigmentation, and Ankh may be the least pigmented. I don't swatch over a base, so I'm sure that Ankh would perform better over one (especially considering all the glitter in this shade!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>PRODUCT: </b>The textures of Queen, Hieroglyph, Nile, and Scarab, are SO good. Even though it's a color I probably won't wear much, Nile is the most definitely the winner of this palette. Ankh and Bloodmilk had a bit of a dry texture. Ankh and Venom were a bit powdery. I tested out Queen, Ankh, Hieroglyph, and Venom on my eye (sans base) and here were my findings:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Every shade except for Queen had a bit of fallout. Ankh had the most of the bunch and was the hardest to clean up because it's black (duh) and had the most fallout.</li>
<li>I wore my little trash look for about 4 hours, again without a base, and shockingly Hieroglyph didn't crease on my very oily lids. It was also pretty opaque in application (I used a flat synthetic brush to apply if you're curious). Venom faded QUITE a bit-- it would definitely benefit from a base.</li>
<li>Venom applied completely differently depending on the brush I used. With a round fluffy (synthetic) crease brush, it went on VERY sheer. With a small flat brush, the color was pretty true-to-pan.</li>
<li>Queen blended out SO beautifully.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>PACKAGING:</b> This might be some of the best-looking cardboard I've ever seen! I really love the shiny gold foil motifs everywhere contrasting with the matte black. It's really awesome that the shade names are on the front of this. The lid has a strong magnet, and the space for Prophet is just big enough to hold the jar in tightly. Speaking of, I don't understand the inclusion of a jar of loose pigment.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-U_uQw8qnpD0/V4K56980sJI/AAAAAAAABoA/KXaooJ9eDFE/s1600/2016-07-10%25252017.00.15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-U_uQw8qnpD0/V4K56980sJI/AAAAAAAABoA/KXaooJ9eDFE/s400/2016-07-10%25252017.00.15.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>PRICE:</b> $45 for eight pressed shadows (1.1g each) and one loose pigment (1.5g)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Even though I like this palette, I don't think it's really anything to go bananas over. On the plus side, there are some super nice shadows and EGYPT. On the downside, the are a few possible dupes if you're a fellow makeup hoarder (I'll revisit that topic in another post bc this one is already super long), and that random loose pigment wtf.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As always, you don't have to take my word for it! Kat Von D's Serpentina palette will be available in Sephora stores in or around July 22, and will be returning to both katvondbeauty.com and sephora.com eventually.</div>

Wow it has been a very long time since I've written about anything! Today the mail lady brought me the Kat Von D Shade and Light mini palette and I knew that I had to write about it. This pallet has four color coordinating shadows that are meant to enhance and green eyes.</div>

<br />
<b>
PRODUCT</b>: The textures were a little inconsistent. <i>Highlight</i> was chalky. <i>Define </i>was a bit stiff. <i>Base </i>was very soft and buttery, and <i>Contour </i>was buttery but not as soft as <i>Base</i>. Bonus-- I think that <i>Base </i>could make a really nice blush for my skin tone. One thing to note: I always test makeup without bases/primers, and I've noticed that <i>Contour </i> has pretty much stayed in tact after about 3 hours of being on my arm-- all the other shadows have faded.</div>

Overall, this is a nice little palette. I like that there are neutral, warm and cool colors that not only are muted enough where one could wear them every single day and not feel "overdone," but also can lend themselves to SO MANY looks. This palette will probably live in my bag, so I'll have to be careful to keep it safe in case the plastic is as cheap as it seems. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>PIGMENTATION:</b> Of the four matte lipsticks, She's Got the Power was the only one with uneven pigmentation. The other three were opaque in one swipe. Fashion and Fame is supposed to be a topcoat, so it's doing its job being sheer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>PRODUCT: </b>So far, I've only tried To the Rescue on my lips, and it applied evenly and smoothly. I didn't have to apply multiple coats, and I was able to press my lips together after a few minutes and nothing budged. I have a cold and can't really smell anything, but Fashion and Fame must have a super strong smell, but I was able to detect a really sweet scent from it. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>PACKAGING:</b> For the first time, I will be keeping the outer packaging of something. The pink glitter box doesn't hold a death grip on the tubes, so they're easy to remove, and I love the big Jem logo on the outer clear sleeve.</div>

<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The tubes themselves, while being mini, aren't incredibly small. The doefoot applicator is big enough to easily cover the lips, but small enough to provide some control so that the product doesn't go everywhere. The outside of the tubes have this awesome holographic lightning bolt motif that is so cool and I hope doesn't rub off with use. My camera only sort of picked up the holographic shine on the single shot of She's Got the Power.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm still testing these, but I'm not disappointed in this set (so far). As a Jem fan, the packaging and shade names have me excited. As a makeup fan, I like that the shades truly run the gamut and how 4/5 shades apply completely awesomely.</div>

Remember the Mi Vida Loca palette? (If not, <a href="http://landofladythings.blogspot.com/2012/01/review-kat-von-d-mi-vida-loca-true.html" target="_blank">here's</a> my review of it.) Apparently it was a fan favorite (or maybe one that a lot of people missed out on) so Miss KvD and her beauty team created a revamped version. Will it perform the same way as the original? Let's find out.</div>

<b>PIGMENTATION: </b>Generally the pigmentation was great in this palette. The most pigmented shadows were Harpsichord, Synth, Lemmy, and Rewind. The least pigmented was Echo, with Anthem coming in at a close second.<br />

<b>PRODUCT: </b>Most were buttery and not too dry. I didn't have any problem building up Echo or Anthem without a base, but a base would definitely help.<br />

<b><br /></b>
<b>PACKAGING: </b>The palette is housed in a cardboard sleeve, like a record. Being the "remix" of Mi Vida Loca, I thought this was an awesome idea. The palette isn't exactly secure in it, as if it's turned over a little, it will slide out on its own. If you're klutz like me, there is an outer clear plastic box to keep everything together. I really like how the shade names are printed on the front, and I hope future KvD palettes will have that too. This also comes with an instruction sheet for three different makeup looks you can achieve with the palette.<br />
<br />
<b>PRICE: </b>$59<br />
<br />
All in all, I'm thrilled to say this is SO much better than the OG Mi Vida Loca palette. I love that there are neutrals to pair these crazy colors with, and for me, the color-wheel layout makes it visually easier to figure out what to pair with what. If you want ALL the colors in a variety of finishes in one place, you may want to check out Mi Vida Loca Remix.<br />
<br />
Of course you don't have to take my word for it! <a href="http://www.sephora.com/mi-vida-loca-remix-eyeshadow-palette-P399954?skuId=1719012" target="_blank">The Mi Vida Loca Remix palette is available now at Sephora.</a><br />

<b><br /></b>
<b>Nail Cleanser</b>- Alcohol based with a tiny bit of oil in it (I guess to prevent your nails from drying out).<br />
<b>Base</b>- This is a sheer pink sticky basecoat. I've never used a sticky base before, and I'm definitely into it.<br />
<b><i>Pyrotechnics</i>-</b> Lovely balanced red. There are two other versions with different colors if you're not a fan of red.<br />
<b>Top Coat</b>- Leaves my nails glossy for DAYS. I've never had a gel manicure, but I feel like this gives the look of one. Not sure why, but this has deposited air bubbles on my manicure.<br />

<br />
The first time I used the set, my manicure lasted 14 days without chipping. Yes, 14 days. I've used the nail cleanser, base, and top coat with other nail polishes, and it's worked just as good. This system is phenomenal and I have purchased full-sized versions of the system.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
First it was Socialized Healthcare. Now it's this. For fall, Bite Beauty released a Canadian-exclusive tinted version of their Lip Mask in a maple scent/flavor. I'm not sure if it's LE or if Bite will ever share it with us Yanks, but Canada did share Kids in the Hall with us, so there is a sliver of hope. I procured mine via a friend from Sephora's message board (Thank you Heartsmyface!) and I wanted to write a quick review in case you were curious to see if it was worth going through the trouble of getting it.</div>

<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>PRODUCT:</b> It's much thinner than my original lip mask, which I think makes it much better for wear during the day. Because of the thinner texture, it doesn't last very long. I've had it on for about an hour and am already feeling the need to re-apply. It smells and tastes like pure maple syrup, but it's not noticeable after a few minutes.<br />

<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>PACKAGING:</b> The lip mask is housed in a plastic/flexible metal tube (like a toothpaste tube). The label is a matte ink, and there is a metallic ring printed at the top that shows the color. If this is anything like my regular lip mask, I am predicting the label will flake off on my fingers when I start using it a lot.<br />

New to my makeup arsenal is Colourpop's Super Shock Eyeshadow. Although it's a cream, it's definitely different than any cream product I have. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<i>Hustle: </i>Cool-toned burgundy with tiny tonal sparkles.</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">L-R: Applied with It Cosmetics Large Crease Brush, Swatched with finger, Blended with finger</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<b>PIGMENTATION: </b>There is a slight translucency, but it's buildable to full opacity.<br />
<br />
<div>
<b>PRODUCT:</b> Super Shock is a super squishy cream formula. Admittedly, it feels very strange. When I dip my finger in, it feels very smooth, but then it squishes like it's a cushion. It blends very easily. Once dried, it didn't budge when rubbed. I forgot to do the water test (where I run the swatches under water), but it did wash off pretty easily.<br />
<br />
As application goes, I recommend first applying with your finger, then blending out the edges with a synthetic brush. I also built the color up by lightly buffing more product over where I applied it with my finger.<br />
<br />

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>PACKAGING: </b>The packaging is pretty unfussy-- sleek white plastic with a screw-on cap. It feels pretty sturdy.</div>

<b>PRICE:</b> $5</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you like cream eyeshadows, check out the Super Shock formula. If you don't like cream eyeshadows, check out Super Shock shadows. I feel like they're a good medium between cream shadows (like Mac's painpots) and regular ol' powder eyeshadows due to how blendable they are. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of course, you don't have to take my word for it. Colourpop's Super Shock Eyeshadows are available in Hustle and a TON of other colors here: <a href="https://colourpop.com/">https://colourpop.com/</a></div>

Kat Von D's Ink Liner is a felt-tipped liquid liner that claims a 24-hour wear time. I've never been a fan of felt-tipped eyeliners, but I was extremely intrigued by some of the colors that were released. In case you were too, read on!</div>

<b>PACKAGING:</b> The felt tip is very, very firm. I found that the best way to use it was to lay it length-wise against your eye to "stamp" the product onto your eye, as opposed to using the tip like a brush tipped liner. The handle was very lightweight, and there is a shaker inside to mix up the product.</div>

OK so I know this palette was limited edition and will not be restocked, <b>BUT</b> all of the shades are available individually, so you can still snag any colors you're really into. During the spring Sephora VIB sale, I picked up something new since I am a sucker for purple eyeliner. This is my first gel eyeliner since I started to seriously get into makeup, so I was excited to try something different.</div>

Plum is a cool-toned deep purple. It definitely reads "purple" on the eye, which I think is hard to come by with deep or "blackened" shades of purple.</div>

PIGMENTATION:</b> Good-- in one swipe you get a relatively opaque line.</div>

<b>
PRODUCT:</b> Eh... I'm not sure if it's because I'm not used to gel liner or if this is a special case. This liner is very dry so it was difficult to produce a clean line on my eye (yes, my swatch line is clean, but it was on the inside of my forearm, which is a flat surface). During application to my eye, it was a bit crumbly. I could also feel it on my eye throughout the day whenever I blinked or did normal eye things, which only ever happens if my eyes are irritated (they definitely weren't that day). The packaging boasts a claim of "36-hour wear" but the liner was a very uncomfortable wear for the 5 hours it was on my eye, so I can't imagine wearing it for an insanely long period.</div>

<b>
PACKAGING: </b>As for the outer packaging, I think that the Donald Robertson part is limited edition, but it's only a sleeve that goes on the outside of the regular box the liner comes in. As for the packaging of the liner itself I really like the screw top cap. My guess is that it might keep the liner from drying out. The applicator is less great. It's a flexible foam tip that dispenses the liner through a slit at the top. It was really difficult to get a thin line with this, so I ended up with a giant wonky cat-eye. As one who has aced the crisp cat-eye, this is a travesty in my book.</div>

I bought Poe and Hex the second they came out last fall, received Fyfe instead of Hex TWICE (thanks to Sephora for letting me keep the first one!), then bought Jett when I saw it in the store.<br />

<b>PIGMENTATION: </b>Great! </div>

<div>
<b>PRODUCT: </b>The formula is neither too thin nor too thick, and it passed all of the tests I subjected it to with flying colors. My initial swatches first underwent water torture-- I put my hand under the faucet at full blast for close to a minute. Nothing ran nor faded. The next test was an oily one-- I rubbed a tiny bit of oil on the swatches. Again, nothing budged. Then on the day I actually wore the eyeliner, it lasted from 9 am til around 1 am (with a gym session from 7:30pm to 8:15pm) without flaking or doing anything else dumb. The liners came off with my makeup remover wipes with a little extra TLC.</div>

Not sure if it's the product, or packaging, but I think Poe is close to running out. I couldn't have owned it for more than four months, and I certainly don't wear it every day. Also, the brush of Hex ended up splaying a bit, possibly from so much product coming out.<br />

<div>
<b>PACKAGING: </b>The Lightning Liner comes in a click-up calligraphy pen. When you first open the box, you have to push the base into the top part (where the brush/cap are). I am a weakling and could BARELY complete this task. Poe was opened first and I wasn't quite sure what what happening, so I pushed it down as much as I could and tried using it. It worked, but I might have gotten some extra product inside the part where the brush lives-- on the day I tried to wear it, I had some troubles getting the product to show up in the brush. By the time I opened Fyfe, I was a pro and successfully closed the gap prior to using. When I wore it, I had a much easier time getting the product into the brush.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When I first heard about the click pen packaging, I foresaw an eyeliner mess. Poe and Hex delivered on that mess, but I think it was due to the packaging not being secured prior to use.<br />

All in all, for how great the product is inside, I am willing to overlook the packaging issues. For KvD's summer line, I noticed that a few more colors of the Lightning Liner were released, and I am definitely going to pick up some in hopes that the packaging issues were fixed.<br />

<b>PIGMENTATION</b>: For the most part, these shadows have excellent pigmentation. Shax and Saleos fell slightly short of everyone else's mark. If I gave them report cards, Saleos would get a A- and Shax would get a B. Laetus and Lucius nearly match my skintone, but if you aren't a ghost, they'll definitely show up. (If you are a ghost, they will make excellent blending colors!)</div>

<b>PRODUCT:</b> Laetus and Lucius felt a little chalky. Samael and Solas felt almost like cream shadows when I touched the pan. Succubus, Sytry, and Latinus were so lovely and buttery. I wore Laetus,<br />
Samael, Solas, and Lucius the other day without UDPP (which I NEVER do) and I didn't have any creasing or fading for the entire time I had the shadows on (which was only about five hours). Eyeshadow ALWAYS creases on me- even when my skin was like paper from taking Accutane- so color me impressed. When I was dipping my brushes into the pans, a lot of powder was kicked up, but I didn't notice any fall out or crazy dust halo of eyeshadow on my cheeks (which sometimes happens when I'm trying to create magic with super powdery shadows.)</div>

<b>PRODUCT:</b> This is a powder that you can mix with water to create an exfoliant paste. (I sometimes mix it with my cleanser to kill two birds with one stone.) The grains are really fine so I don't feel like its scratching my sensitive skin. It smells like brown rice, which isn't amazing, but it's definitely not the worst smell in the world. The only complaint I have is that it my skin feels quite a bit dry after I use it, but its nothing I can't fix with a good moisturizer afterwards. With regular use I've noticed that my skin tone has been more even, which I didn't think would EVER happen.</div>

Besame Cosmetics is a brand that I've been looking at longingly for a really long time, but never actually bought anything. Thanks to my dealer, Sephora, for making it easy to try one of their products out.<br />
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.ggpht.com/-hjQHEiErf3o/VNraq2qBj7I/AAAAAAAAA4g/Ioo-vo2ADHk/s640/2015-02-10%25252023.26.02.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-hjQHEiErf3o/VNraq2qBj7I/AAAAAAAAA4g/Ioo-vo2ADHk/s640/2015-02-10%25252023.26.02.png" height="400" width="388" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>PRODUCT</b>: This is a yellow-toned HD finishing powder. It's really finely milled so the texture is really soft. The finish it gives is really lovely, and I haven't had any issues with caking or it screwing up my makeup EXCEPT on days where my skin is mega dry. On those days, it emphasizes any flakes I have (like how any powder would). This does have a vanilla scent, which disappears very quickly once the powder is applied.</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Check out that fancy manicure! *barf*</td></tr>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The tiny velvety powder puff that's included is no slouch either! Ok, it's nothing extraordinary, but it does the job and I feel fancy putting my fingers behind the ribbon loop.</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>PACKAGING</b>: The design on this is sooo pretty, but the outer packaging is plastic. I'm afraid the twist-off cap will eventually crack or break. There is a plastic sifter on the inside, as well as a plastic guard for the powder puff, and to prevent powder going everywhere-- yay! I probably will remove the sifter because not enough product comes out to my liking.<br />

All in all, I really like this product! The yellow tint helps correct redness I get, and the powder itself gives a blurring effect which is always welcome considering I am cursed with large pores.</div>

<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Product: </b>I've been using this for a few days now and I can't tell whether I like this or not. It's initially hydrating, but it doesn't lock moisture into my skin for all-day comfort (i have dry skin. If you have more oily skin, you may feel differently about this). I have large pores and some fine lines happening under my eyes and on the sides of my mouth; and, this helped delay creasing in my lines, but it did nothing to fill in or blur my pores. This was a better companion to my powder foundation then it was to my liquid foundation(s).</div>

<br />
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>Packaging: </b>Like the Lock-It Foundation, the primer has sort of packaging-within-packaging. This has a pretty peacock feather design on the inner packaging. You can easily control how much comes out of the pump by how much you depress the button., This packaging has something I wish that the foundation had: a fancy stopper!<br />

<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
For 2015, the folks at the Bite Beauty Lip Lab (which is in SoHo if you're in NYC) are doing a Sephora-exclusive run of twelve exclusive lipsticks. A new one will release each month, then disappears into the ether. I guess. Sephora describes January's release as a "deep burgundy with red undertone" and is Bite's creme deluxe formula, which is described as "luxurious pearl, silk, and champagne" (and costs $48 if you create a lipstick in this formula at the Bite Lip Lab).</div>

<b>Product: </b>Upon initial application, this had a glossy finish, but dried down to a satin. Has a lot of slip that doesn't seem to go away as it dries down, making it move around when I pressed my lips together. For the life of me, I could not get this to make a crisp edge straight from the tube, so a lip liner or brush will be crucial for future applications. (Illamasqua's Severity pencil is a perfect match FYI) Can't put my finger on what the scent is, but it's faint, pleasant and doesn't stick around long. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
I applied this on unprimed dry lips and, at first the formula was super comfortable to wear, but as I write this post I'm three hours in and it's pretty drying. 01/15 also settled into my lip lines after about two hours.</div>

I personally will be keeping it because I don't mind having to do the prepwork prior to wearing or re-applying, but I'm definitely turned off to seeing what's ahead for the rest of the year.<br />
<br />
<i>Update: </i>I wore this the next day and it's SO high maintenance I've decided to return it. Or maybe take it to Bite's Lip Lab, dupe the color in a different formula, and then return it.</div>

Poe was THE shade of the Studded Kiss collection that was always sold out. If you are on three fence about purchasing, here's a quick review to maybe help you decide:</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Poe is navy with warm purple glitter. I LOVE the color-- it's as flattering as a blue lipstick can get bc of the rich color and the purple sparkle.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5vKgIZCSUdY/VGe6m4n6E3I/AAAAAAAAA1U/-62p7hn-Pvk/s1600/poe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5vKgIZCSUdY/VGe6m4n6E3I/AAAAAAAAA1U/-62p7hn-Pvk/s1600/poe.jpg" height="320" width="310" /></a></div>
<br />
<div dir="ltr">
Unfortunately, the texture is awful. It is SO dry and drags on the lips. I had to really work to get it to apply evenly with a lip brush (and I hate using lip brushes gr). Once applied, It feels like I've put powder on my lips. I've never experienced this kind of texture in a lipstick before.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
I returned this, and I don't recommend it.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
As always, you don't have to take my word for it. The Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick in Poe is available right now at <a href="http://www.sephora.com/studded-kiss-lipstick-P387435?skuId=1621697" target="_blank">Sephora.</a></div>

During the Sephora VIB sale, I went crazy. It was almost like those Super Toy Runs that Nickelodeon used to televise (Yes, I'm showing my age a little). When I saw the Autograph Liner set, I couldn't resist! If you're unfamiliar, these are mini pencil eyeliners that can fit in the metal KvD palettes (Saint, Sinner, Poetica, Ladybird, Mi Vida Loca), or are just convenient little pencils to stick in your bag for an emergency.</div>

<b>Pigmentation: </b>Proud Peacock had the worst pigmentation, and even then it wasn't terrible. Black Metal Love had the best of the set. Piaf was the most surprising out of the bunch-- I wasn't expecting the glitter to come out as well as it did! </div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br />
<b>
Product:</b> The textures of these are smooth and buttery. No dragging or skipping problems whatsoever. Even though<i> Proud Peacock</i> didn't have the best pigmentation it, along with all the other eye liners, are very buildable. They also set fast, stay put, and are very water resistant.</div>

<b><br />
Packaging:</b> I didn't know what to expect for the packaging of this since it wasn't pictured on Sephora.com.The ziploc bag was a bit disappointing, but I give it points for practicality since it's reusable. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br />
<b>
Price:</b> This set is a great deal: $32 for eight liners. Since they retail individually for $10, it's like getting five liners for free!</div>

Considering I had to CONSTANTLY reapply, a new balm had to be purchased asap. Wanting something quality, I went to Sephora to get a new Jack Black balm, until a sales person totally sold me on Anthony Advanced Formula lip balm. <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Texture:</b> Lightweight, but not too thin. It's described as matte, but there is soft sheen to it. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Moisture:</b> HIGHLY moisturizing. This worked much, much better than my JB balm (which would stop working after a few hours, no matter how much I applied). My lips were peeling a lot, and this balm <u>significantly</u> reduced that.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Packaging:</b> The squeeze tube is a little shorter than what I'm used to, which is neither bad nor good. I do like how it's a light color so that I can usually find it in my bag. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Additional details:</b> The balm contains spf 25, reservatrol (which is supposed to be an anti-aging ingredient), and a very faint minty smell (it's from an artificial source, so it won't burn like something containing peppermint oil will). I'm one of those people who is ultra sensitive to smell, and this isn't overpowering or too sweet or anything, and it disappears pretty quickly. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Overall, I absolutely love this balm and will be repurchasing. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Of course you don't have to take my word for it. <a href="http://www.sephora.com/advanced-formula-lip-balm-spf-25-P298910" target="_blank">Anthony Advanced Formula Lip Balm is available at Sephora. </a></div>

My skin is doing well, as is my general health. Not to be gross, but I did have some umm... "bathroom troubles" from not drinking enough water. This is why it's SO important to drink enough water in life, as well as when you're on Accutane. My doctor said that the average human should be drinking 6-8 cups of water a day. Since I've been taking this medication, I feel normal (read: not like I'm made of sand) when I'm drinking 9-11 cups, depending on the day. So when I was only drinking around 6 a day-- problems started happening.<br />
<br />
Another complaint is one I spoke about before-- extremely dry lips. I'm only bringing it up again because they got even worse and cracked in the corners. The corners also were a tiny bit swollen and tender at times (this is probably partially due to my horrible habit of peeling my lips DON'T JUDGE ME!!). Something that has been helping is plain old Chapstick, probably because it's so thick. I'm getting ahead of myself, BUT when I saw my dermatologist to start month 5, she suggested using 1% hydrocortisone cream (found at any drug store) to help with the cracked corners. So far, it works but I'll talk about that more in next month's post.<br />
<br />
Like always, I'm not wearing the any makeup in these pictures. I'm a little shiny because I JUST applied my moisturizer.<br />

Hi! So I decided I couldn't live without Mötorhead and snatched it up, all with the thoughts that I didn't have a color quite like it in my collection. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b>COLOR/PIGMENTATION:</b> Sephora describes Mötorhead as "black cherry." I would say it is a darkened berry. Full on it pulls cool-toned, but sheered out it looked a warmer. I naturally have warm undertones to my skin, so you may have different results. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
When swatched, I thought this looked could use a touch more pigmentation. I'd say it had medium coverage.</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-_7EUIA54wzo/U80i0Och7iI/AAAAAAAAAxM/jmkwbz-W7AQ/s640/2014-07-20%25252010.57.13.png" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Since I have a few darker lipsticks from KvD, and truthfully was disappointed by Mötorhead's color (I was expecting something MUCH darker), I decided to see how it compared to my other dark shades.<br />

<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
As you can see, it is similar to the Vampira Liquid lipstick, just a touch lighter. This alone is making me consider returning Mötorhead to Sephora, but I really like the texture!</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b>PRODUCT: </b>Mötorhead has a slightly creamy texture and applied fairly evenly, that isn't drying nor is it moisturizing. Even on my desert-dry lips, I was able to wear this (with the help of lots of lip balm, of course) for quite a few hours. I think I lasted about 4 hours before I took it off-- not because of the lipstick, but because my dumb lips were peeling and looked gross. Keep in mind my lips can't take wearing lipstick these days, and usually last around an hour before I have to take it off, so I'd say this is a pretty good formula!</div>
